Trailer Driveline Repair Services in Edmonton, Alberta

We offer expert driveline system maintenance and repair services for light, medium, and heavy-duty diesel trailers that can save you from problems down the road.

An extreme amount of stress is put on the driveline components when the transfer of torque from the trailer’s transmission to the axle and wheels (while constantly adjusting to differing speeds and angles). When you make a turn, the outside wheels travel farther than the inside wheels, and while the difference may be relatively small, it can accumulate and if it isn’t offset, it can damage your vehicle.

Your differential makes up for this difference by mechanically transferring torque through a set of gears that keeps the engine and transmission load steady regardless of the sharpness of your trailer’s turn. The extreme loads placed on your differential can unfortunately lead to excess heat and wear.

The differential is coated with thick gear oil to reduce friction, wear and protect your trailer from damage. Typically, differential fluid is changed every 30,000 to 60,000 miles, but if you are hauling heavy loads or diving in stop-and-go traffic, we recommend more frequent service.

Our technicians at Heavy Hauler will diagnose any potential problem before it becomes a major and costly concern. We offer expert driveline system maintenance and repair services for all-sized trailers. Our team can save you from problems down the road.

I chose Heavy Hauler because they were close to my shop. However, I continue to use their services because of their excellent service and workmanship. Derek, Luke, and the gang are great to deal with. I highly recommend them.
